ZhiNeng Taiji Ball (sets 1 & 2)

The training methods of traditional martial arts usually include weapons and tools to condition the body and develop skills. In Taiji the use of wooden and even stone carved balls was one such practice that got almost lost in time, since many schools kept it secret. In the late 80’s, Dr. Pang Ming, headmaster of the ZhiNeng QiGong system, taught two set of exercises to his advanced students, rescueing this art from oblivion. The training of these two sets are a shortcut to the essence of TaiJi and QiGong, combining coiling and inner spiralling motions with core strenght and limbs flexibility. Any person disregarding age or level of skills will bennefit from such practice.

Qi Gong (Chi Kung)

Qi Gong je starodavna umetnost/znanost dela z energijo. Od svojih davnih začetkov pred približno 7000 leti, se je skupaj s filozofijo in drugimi znanostmi razvijal, upoštevajoč potrebe moških in žensk, in s tem pripomogel k njihovem fizičnem, mentalnem, emocionalnem in energetskem blagostanju. Tehnike in metode Qi Gonga so se skozi čas razvijale in jih dan danes poznamo že praktično nešteto, vse pa temeljijo na istih principih.

Tradicionalna kitajska medicina (TKM) in večina borilnih veščin izhajajo iz Qi Gonga, kar dobesedno pomeni »delo z energijo, delo s Qi-jem«. Spoznanja, kako Qi kroži skozi naše telo in skozi celotno vesolje, lahko uporabimo za spodbujanje zdravja drugih oseb (na primer s Tui Na masažo in akupunkturo), za vzpostavljanje harmonije v prostorih in naravi (Feng Shui), lahko pa preprosto izvajamo vaje Qi Gonga za lastno zdravje, vzpodbujajoč modrost in kvaliteto življenja.

Večina gibov je počasnih in sproščenih, pa vendar zelo natančno določenih in (energetsko) močnih. Pomagajo pri razvijanju specifičnih motoričnih veščin in sposobnost občutenja Qi-ja v telesu in okoli njega. Nežnost in tekočnost vaj in gibov ustvarja pogoje za globoko sproščenost telesa, usmerjenost uma navznoter in optimalnost dihanja, kar omogoča, da tok Qi-ja doseže vsako posamezno celico v telesu. Ta kombinacija faktorjev pojasni, zakaj je nivo stresa zmanjšan takoj po vadbi in v večini primerov lahko opazimo izboljšanje v zdravstvenem stanju že po nekaj mesecih redne vadbe. Pogosto se odpravijo dolgoletne težave, ne le fizične, ampak tudi psiho-emocionalne.

Obstajajo tudi statične drže Qi Gonga, ki  vodijo v meditativno stanje, idealno za združitev uma in telesa, kar spodbuja vnos energije globoko v telo, negujoč celoten organizem in regeneracijo energije  notranjih organov. Včasih se uporabijo tudi zvoki, podobni mantram, ki povzročajo vibracije znotraj telesa.

Redna vadba Qi gonga vodi k razvoju ravnotežja, koordinacije, moči in vzdržljivosti, poleg tega pa tudi zadovoljstva in pozitivnega pristopa k življenju, kar še dodatno prispeva k celostnem blagostanju, hormonski in fiziološki sreči, jasni zavesti in samozavedanju.

 

Tai Chi Chuan (Tai Ji Quan)

Če bi uporabili naše znanje in veščine Qi Gonga v borilni veščini, potem bi bilo to izvajanje Tai Chi Chuana. Z drugimi besedami: Tai Chi temelji na istih principih »povezanosti uma – telesa –  Qi-ja« kot Qi Gong, a z drugim namenom – z namenom samoobrambe.

Z minimalnim trudom lahko dosežemo maksimalen rezultat tako, da ohranjamo naše telo ukoreninjeno in sproščeno, pretočno kot voda, in s tem omogočimo, da Qi teče tja, kamor ga z mislimi želimo usmeriti.

Začetniki večinoma potrebujejo približno eno leto, da usvojijo določeno Tai Chi formo (daljše zaporedje določenih gibov). Seveda pa je to odvisno od količine vadbe in predanosti. Ko znamo formo »na pamet«, se lahko zgodi, da med vadbo sčasoma in nepričakovano v trenutku, izkusimo resnično povezanost uma, telesa in energije (Qi-ja), kot nekakšen globlji vpogled navznoter. V tem stanju naš »kung fu« (sposobnost, veščina, disciplina) začne rasti eksponencialno – do kam je odvisno le od posameznikove predanosti in volje. Ko se naučimo več različnih form, enih bolj drugih manj kompleksnih, razumemo njihovo osnovno načelo in lahko »pozabimo« formo, saj se gibi in reakcije ponotranjijo. Če opišem primer: Žensko, ki je že več let trenirala Tai Chi Chuan, je nekega dne, medtem ko je čakala na avtobus, hotel oropati neznanec. Naravno je reagirala tako, da je znižala težišče telesa in ukoreninila svoja stopala globoko v tla, kar je osnovno načelo Tai Chi-ja. Ropar je v nepričakovanju njene moči padel na tla in gospa je imela čas, da je stekla stran.

S časom se človek nauči, da je najlažja rešitev po navadi tudi tista prava, saj Qi, tako kot voda, najde način, da teče po stezi z najmanj upora.

Qi Gong (Chi Kung)

Qi Gong is the ancient art/science of working with energy. It has been practiced since the dawn of humanity, and has evolved through time along with the evolution of philosophy and science, meeting the requirements of man and woman in modern societies, disregarding their age or previous knowledge, to fulfill their needs of physical, mental, emotional and energetically well-being. With around 7000 years of development already, the techniques and methods of Qi Gong are virtually uncountable, yet they all share some basic principles.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and most martial arts are rooted on Qi Gong as well, that literally means “working with Qi”. By learning the principles of how Qi circulates through our bodies, and ultimately through everything in the Universe, we can apply it to enhance other people’s health (Tui Na massage and acupuncture are examples of therapies based on Qi), to harmonize spaces and nature (Feng Shui), or simply we can practice Qi Gong for our own benefit, cultivating wisdom and longevity.

Most movements are slow and relaxed, yet very precise and containing inner strength. They help developing extremely exquisite motoric skills and sensitivity to the Qi inside and around our bodies. The softness and smoothness of Qi Gong exercises create the conditions of a deeply relaxed body, mind focused inwardly and breath optimization, allowing the flow of Qi to reach every single cell. This combination of factors explain why the levels of stress are immediately reduced, and in most cases after only couple of months of practice the health level rises above the normal, often getting rid of longtime disturbances, not just physically but also psycho-emotionally.

There are also static postures that induce into a meditative state, ideal to unify body and mind, helping to gather the energy deeper in our core, nourishing the whole organism and replenishing the Qi of the inner organs. Sometimes we also use sounds like mantras to generate vibrations inside the body.

The regular practice of Qi Gong develops balance, coordination, strength and endurance, but also joyfulness and positive approach to life, supporting even more the overall state of wellbeing, hormonal and physiological happiness, and furthermore clear consciousness and self-awareness.

Tai Chi Chuan (Tai Ji Quan)

If we were to use our Qi Gong abilities into internal martial arts, then we would be practicing Tai Chi Chuan. To put it in other words: Tai Chi uses the same principles of “mind and body unified with Qi” as in Qi Gong, but with the specific intention of self-defense. To this end, we minimize the effort and maximize the results by keeping our body rooted and relaxed, loose as water, allowing the Qi to flow and concentrate were our mind wants it to go.

Normally the process to learn a form (a fixed sequence of movements) can take around a year for a beginner (of course there are people that will take more or less time). Once we know the form by hart, it normally happens that during the practice of the sequence, eventually and unexpectedly in one single moment we truly experience the mergence of mind body and Qi, like a sudden comprehension awakened deeply inside. On this stage the Kung Fu (ability, skill, discipline) starts growing exponentially and the only limit there on, is one’s own dedication. After learning different forms, some more sophisticated than others, we come to understand the basic principles behind them, so we can “forget” the form, and use exclusively what we need. To give you an example: A woman who practiced Tai Chi for many years, was waiting for the bus when a burglar came running from behind and grabbed her purse. She didn’t had time to think. Her natural reaction was to sink down, rooting her feet deeply on the ground, which is the very basic stance of Tai Chi. Long story short, the burglar fell on his back when he unexpectedly pulled such a “heavy” woman. Then she ran away. After practicing many years, one also finds that the easiest more elegant solution is usually the right one, because the Qi will find its way to flow through the path with less resistance.

Predhodno znanje ni potrebno. Prav tako ni potrebno nikakršno versko prepričanje, da bi vadba imela učinek. Za izvedbo ne potrebujemo pripomočkov, niti posebnih oblačil. Vadba je preprosta in primerna za vse starosti in za oba spola :). Od nas zahteva le voljo, vztrajnost in vodstvo kvalificiranega mentorja:

Mauro prihaja iz Argentine, v Slovenijo pa je prišel zaradi ljubezni 🙂 in že kar lepo govori slovensko. Svoje znanje  Tai Chi Chuana in Qi Gonga je pridobil pod mentorstvom Gustava Villarja, ki sledi liniji YMAA in stilu družine Yang.

Vadbe bodo potekale večinoma v angleškem in deloma v slovenskem jeziku.
